This is a drypoint, a form of etching where the image is created by scratching directly onto the plate.

Materials: etching inks, Somerset Velvet paper 300gsm
Orders are wrapped in acid-free tissue, flat-packed between two layers of board in a stiffened envelope and dispatched signed and tracked within four days.

Since this technique requires no acid, the metal isn't dissolved as on an etched plate, but is thrown up on each side of the line, creating a thicker, soft line. This wears down with each successive print, hence the small edition.
